Southwell Minster, From The Heavens 

From The Heavens comes sunlight that shines on Southwell Minster, the Cathedral and parish church of the little town of Southwell in Nottinghamshire

For over 900 years, the Minster has stood in this market town. Although it is the cathedral of Southwell and Nottinghamshire, it is still called "The Minster".

Intermittent rain and sunshine marked my first visit to the little town of Southwell. This gave me a great opportunity to capture a dramatic image of this famous and much-beloved building.

I spent about an hour in the Minster grounds. While I was there, a family of squirrels played among the gravestones, running and leaping over each other. I managed to capture one who stayed still long enough to have his photo taken. You can see him in the grass.
