Masson Mills is located on the edge of the Derbyshire village of Matlock Bath. Sir Richard Arkwright's built the mill in 1783. The itself Mill is a water-powered cotton spinning mill situated on the west bank of the River Derwent
Today the mill is part museum and part shopping centre (or retail village as it now called).
The image pictured is of one of the spinning rooms in action. With a little vintage magic is is my homage to this stalwart of local industry.
Please note that Peter adds new photographs to his online collection at regular intervals. In a bid to make sure that he remains in the real world he limits his time online!
